InvestigativeMEDIA today posted the supporting documentation for the Arizona Department of Safety and Health investigative report into the Yarnell Hill Fire disaster that killed 19 members of the Granite Mountain Hotshots last June 30.
The investigative report, which includes audio interviews of key personnel who fought the fire including Granite Mountain’s only surviving member, is located here.
InvestigativeMEDIA is encouraging respectful public participation, discussion and analysis of the investigations into the Yarnell Hill Fire. We have now received more than 6,000 comments from the stories and information posted on the site. With the posting of the ADOSH report, please use Chapter VI for new comments.
Vigorous debate is welcome, but please maintain a professional demeanor and refrain from personal attacks during online discussions of the information.
InvestigativeMEDIA and the nonprofit Arizona Center for Investigative Journalism are working to provide the public direct access to all of the public records gathered during investigations conducted by government agencies into this tragic event.

ANYBODY can get public records by doing a records request, it is not special or generous or important, it is something ANYONE can do. You behave as if your “role” is exclusive and proprietary, your generous public service efforts, your selfless generosity to “give” this information to JD and Gabbert. They could have clearly gotten it themselves or gotten it from any other number of people who have the records also. I sure hope nobody has pointed this out to you before me, I’d hate to upset you.—
